iPhone Tale

As I had the day off last Friday, I decided that I’d drive down to Epping plaza and sign up for my Jesus phone.
The weather was pretty cruddy, but it didn’t stop me, I wanted it and I was going to have it.

After arriving around lunch time, I headed straight for the shop to get my rain check and one of the nice guys helped me out with a new plan and let me play with his phone while he was running a credit check. (my credit is 100% clean and sparkly)

This all went well and I pretty much had to stop myself from sitting in the store all day playing with the phone as it was so nice and purty that I can’t wait for my own to arrive.

After setting me up with a new $49 iPhone plan I was all set, name on the list for a Black 8gig Iphone and I was on my way with a ” start of the week arrival as we get shipments in every day” Happy as ever and amused at that fact that after 13 years I’m no longer a member of Telstra. (yeah I start with them on my first phone in 1995 and haven’t left since, but sadly Telstra’s NextG plan sucks big time, Optus was a better offer and I think I’m just sick of Telstra’s poor everything. (next change will be my Broadband, but that wont happen until I find someone who will offer me 12gig for cheaper then $60 per month with no peak/off peak limits.

Now back to the Iphone, when I arrived home friday I desided that I’d make a funky cover for my new purty, so out came the wool and crochet hook and I’ve just completed the cozy today, but just have to stitch it up.

Plain and simple Single Crochet stitch in gray 10ply wool and two toned pink 8ply.

Been using a cardboard cut out of the Iphone to gauge the right size so when it’s all stitched up the phone will sit snugly in the cozy.
Really please with the look of this Cozy so far, it’s been pretty easy and the adding of the band at the top was something mum suggested so it wouldn’t look so ratty.

Now all I have to do is wait for the phone to arrive, I’ve called up the Optus world twice and still no arrival, I’m not going to stress too much, but if I don’t hear anything by Wednesday I’ll be asking for a credit on my account for the first months bill, I really don’t want to be waiting too long for this phone, paying money for something I don’t have yet isnt’ something I’d be interested in at all.
